Boat rental in Tossa de Mar

Tossa de Mar has a single boat rental company based in town, working from the Playa Gran at the foot of the Vila Vella walls. The area's fleet is in Lloret de Mar, 8 km away with 8 companies, and Blanes, 12 km away with 17, the largest on this stretch of the Costa Brava; Sant Feliu de Guíxols, to the north, adds 6. It is worth the effort because the coast between Tossa and Sant Feliu is among the best on the Costa Brava for a day boat: enclosed coves (Giverola, Pola, Salionç, Canyet) you can barely reach by land, under 4 miles from town.

The season runs from May to September. Tossa lies south of the tramontana zone and can usually go out when the north is closed. There are scheduled boats from the Playa Gran to the coves, with far more choice than rental.
