Boat hire in the Valencian Community

The Valencian Community has 393 boat rental companies and the most evenly spread fleet on the Spanish Mediterranean. Alicante province has the most: Alicante city with 66 companies, Dénia with 46, Altea with 43, Santa Pola with 24 and Torrevieja with 33 form a chain of harbours with motorboats, sailing boats and no-licence boats along the whole Costa Blanca. Valencia city, with 67 companies between La Marina and the Real Club Náutico, is the second centre. Castellón, with 7, is the province with the least.

Across the region, 66 companies advertise sailing boats, 57 skippered hire, 47 jet skis and 39 no-licence boats. The season runs from April to October; in summer the thermal breeze comes in at midday along the whole coast, so small boats should go out in the morning. Dénia and Xàbia are also the mainland jumping-off point for Ibiza and Formentera, and the Mar Menor, just over the border in Murcia, is half an hour from Torrevieja for anyone who wants water with no waves.

Indicative high-season prices from the directory's reference table, reviewed September 2026: a no-licence motorboat costs €120–250 a day; a RIB of 6–8 m, €250–650; a 10–12 m sailing yacht, €400–900 bareboat or €600–1,500 skippered; a catamaran, €1,000–2,500; a skippered motor yacht, from €900. Expect 20–40% less outside July and August. Deposits run from €300 to €2,000 and fuel is extra. Each company sets its own prices.
