Boat hire in Combarro

Combarro is the village of hórreos over the water, in the municipality of Poio, at the head of the Ría de Pontevedra, with Marina de Combarro right beside the old town; but the Google Maps register returns no boat rental companies based in the village. The nearest are on the northern shore of the ría: Sanxenxo, 9 km away, with 14 companies and the widest choice in the Rías Baixas, and Portonovo, with 4; Marín and Pontevedra, 8 km, have one each. From Sanxenxo you reach Combarro by sea in half an hour, and the hórreos are best seen from the water.

The season runs from June to September. The head of the ría is sheltered, with banks and a tide: you sail at high water and along the channel. Ons, at the mouth, is about 12 miles.
