Hiring a boat in Fisterra

Fisterra is the end of the Costa da Morte and of the Camino, with the lighthouse on the cape and the fishing harbour on the Ría de Corcubión, the only sheltered one in the area; but the Google Maps register returns no boat rental companies based in the municipality, and Finisterre's boating is the scheduled trips to the cape from the harbour, to see the lighthouse from the sea. For bareboat, the nearest companies are on the Ría de Arousa: Boiro and Ribeira, with 2 each, and A Pobra do Caramiñal, with 4, about 40 km away; Vilagarcía adds 5 at 55 km.

The season runs from June to September. It is the hardest coast in Galicia: Atlantic swell nearly always outside the Ría de Corcubión, summer fog and currents at the cape. You only round Finisterre with a skipper and a forecast.
