Boat hire in Vilagarcía de Arousa

Vilagarcía is the capital of the Ría de Arousa and its rental harbour with the most choice: 5 companies, 4 within 500 m of the marina and Marina Vilagarcía, with day motorboats, one with motor yachts and skippered trips. The Ría de Arousa is the largest and most sheltered in Galicia, and from Vilagarcía you sail to the island of Arousa, opposite, to Cambados and O Grove to the south, to Boiro and A Pobra on the northern shore (2 and 4 companies), and with a full day, to Sálvora at the mouth, a national park with a cap. Vilaxoán, in the same municipality, has a harbour but no companies.

The season runs from June to September. You sail in almost any wind, dodging mussel rafts; the swell stays outside Sálvora. Scheduled trips run to the rafts from the harbour.

Indicative high-season prices from the directory's reference table, reviewed September 2026: a no-licence motorboat costs €120–250 a day; a RIB of 6–8 m, €250–650; a 10–12 m sailing yacht, €400–900 bareboat or €600–1,500 skippered; a catamaran, €1,000–2,500; a skippered motor yacht, from €900. Expect 20–40% less outside July and August. Deposits run from €300 to €2,000 and fuel is extra. Each company sets its own prices.
