Boat hire in Palma de Mallorca

Palma is the biggest rental port in Mallorca and the second in Spain after Barcelona: 132 companies, most of them along the Paseo Marítimo, between Marina Port de Mallorca (27 within 500 m), Marina Moll Vell (24) and the ferry terminal (28), with a second cluster in Can Pastilla next to the airport. The fleet has everything: 30 companies advertise motor yachts, 20 sailing boats, 15 skippered hire, 8 catamarans and 6 no-licence boats. From the bay you head for Portals, Illetes and Cala Blava, or with a full day for the Calvià coast to the west and Cabrera to the south.

The season runs from April to October, and Palma is the place on the island with the most companies open all year. The bay is sheltered from the north and has a reliable thermal breeze on summer afternoons. There are scheduled boat trips from the Moll Vell for those who would rather not charter.

Indicative high-season prices from the directory's reference table, reviewed September 2026: a no-licence motorboat costs €120–250 a day; a RIB of 6–8 m, €250–650; a 10–12 m sailing yacht, €400–900 bareboat or €600–1,500 skippered; a catamaran, €1,000–2,500; a skippered motor yacht, from €900. Expect 20–40% less outside July and August. Deposits run from €300 to €2,000 and fuel is extra. Each company sets its own prices.
