The boat hire company in Tazacorte
Hiring a boat in Tazacorte
Tazacorte is the harbour of La Palma's west coast, at the foot of the Caldera de Taburiente and beside the banana plantations, and it has the island's only boat rental company, with more than 40 Google reviews, in the fishing and leisure harbour. The west coast lies in the lee of the trade winds and has a calm sea most of the year: from the harbour you head south to Puerto Naos and the cliffs of the south coast, or north, with the strip of sea off Tazacorte where dolphins and pilot whales are seen. The scheduled whale-watching boats leave from the same harbour and have more demand than rental.
You can sail all year, with peaks in summer and at Christmas, in the morning and in light wind.
