Boat hire in Arrecife

Arrecife is the capital of Lanzarote, with the Charco de San Ginés, the San Gabriel castle and Marina Lanzarote, according to its listing a stopover for yachts and cruise ships with restaurants and shops, and its rental fleet is small and charter-based: 3 companies, with sailing boats, a catamaran and skippered yachts for a lap of the island or passages, and a fishing operator at Playa Honda. The day-boat fleet is 11 km away in Tías, with 10 companies between Puerto Calero and Puerto del Carmen, and 30 km away in Playa Blanca (Yaiza, 11) and Marina Rubicón. From Arrecife you sail the east coast south to Puerto del Carmen and Papagayo, or north to La Graciosa, about 20 miles.

You can sail all year, with peaks in summer and at Christmas. The east coast lies in the lee of the trade wind and is the calmest on the island; La Graciosa, to the north, is crossed with swell.
