Castelló d'Empúries is the municipality of Empuriabrava, the residential marina with 24 km of navigable canals, the largest in Europe, and its rental fleet is split between the 4 companies registered in the municipality, with motorboats, jet skis, a sailing boat and a catamaran, and the 23 in Empuriabrava, 4 km away, which has its own page. The medieval town of Castelló is inland, next to the Aiguamolls marshes; the sea is Empuriabrava and the Bay of Roses, with Roses (30 companies) 8 km away and Sant Pere Pescador 8 km. From the canals you head into the bay and, with a licence, to Cap de Creus and Cadaqués.

The season runs from May to September. The Bay of Roses is sheltered from the north, but the Empordà tramontana blows hard several days a month and closes the trips; the Empuriabrava canals can be sailed in any wind at walking pace.
