Boat hire in Fuerteventura

Fuerteventura is the big Canary Island with the least boat rental: 4 companies, all in Corralejo, in the harbour marina, and none registered in Morro Jable, Caleta de Fuste or Gran Tarajal. The reason is the wind: the trade winds blow harder here than on any other island and the water sports are windsurfing and kiting, not motorboating. What Corralejo has is jet skis and motorboats for Isla de Lobos, under 2 miles away, with its lagoon and tiny harbour, and the Dunas coast; Lanzarote is about 8 miles.

You can sail all year, in the morning and in light wind. The scheduled boats to Lobos and the catamarans from Corralejo and Morro Jable have far more demand than rental and are the usual way of getting on the water here.

Indicative high-season prices from the directory's reference table, reviewed September 2026: a no-licence motorboat costs €120–250 a day; a RIB of 6–8 m, €250–650; a 10–12 m sailing yacht, €400–900 bareboat or €600–1,500 skippered; a catamaran, €1,000–2,500; a skippered motor yacht, from €900. Expect 20–40% less outside July and August. Deposits run from €300 to €2,000 and fuel is extra. Each company sets its own prices.
