Tenerife has more boat rental companies than any other Canary Island, 84, and nearly all of them are in the south, in the lee of the trade winds: Adeje and Costa Adeje add up to 34, with Puerto Colón as the base (36 companies within 500 m of the marina); Las Galletas 11, Arona and Los Cristianos 8, Granadilla and El Médano 7.
